Welcome to UnboundMark. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Service

UnboundMark is a SaaS workspace for notes, documents, boards, calendars, attachments, recordings, data sources, and AI-assisted writing. All content is stored as plain markdown files, ensuring portability and preventing vendor lock-in.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Your Content

You retain all rights to content you create, upload, or store in UnboundMark. We do not claim ownership of your data. Your documents and attachments remain part of your private workspace.

You are responsible for backing up your data. While we provide export functionality, we recommend regular backups of important content.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Use the service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

5. AI Features

When you use AI features, your prompts and relevant document context may be sent to the AI provider you select. Third-party provider handling is governed by that provider's own terms of service.

UnboundMark does not use your AI prompts or document content to train AI models.

6. Payment and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

If payment fails, we may suspend your account until payment is resolved. Free plan limits apply to all accounts.

7. Data Export and Portability

UnboundMark is built on markdown-first principles. You can export your data at any time as plain markdown files. We do not lock your data into proprietary formats.

8. Intellectual Property

The UnboundMark service, software, and branding are owned by UnboundMark and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnboundMark shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases, but you may export your data before termination.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
